WALKING FOR YOUR MIRACLE, RECOVERY WALK.

Walk with your Home Group! Walk with your Sponsor Family! Walk with your Friends!

The walk is for celebrating our recovery and also walking in memory of those we've lost or who have passed on in recovery. So in essence it's "Walk For Your Miracle" and "In Memory Of".

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU GET THERE.

Walk with your Home Group! Walk with your Sponsor Family! Walk with your Friends!

The walk starts at 10am and goes until 11am. Please arrive by 9:30am to have time to sign-in (see below).

You'll see the recovery walk table under Shelter 5 as you arrive. They'll be recovery walk wristbands in blue and yellow, and also water bottles for your walk. The blue wristband is for "in celebration of" your sobriety, and the yellow wristband is for "in memory of" those you've lost or who have passed on in recovery. The walk is yours, so some will buddy up and walk together, and some will walk solo around the park in whichever direction you choose.

You'll have blue and yellow stickers with blue to write down the amount of time you have, and yellow for the first name and last name initial for those you're walking "in memory of".  You can choose to put the stickers on your shirt as you walk, or put them on the stepping stone recovery board and the "in memory of" board also located at the recovery walk table.

There will be an "in celebration of" sheet and an "in memory of" sheet. These sheets will help in adding up all the time we have together which we'll read off after the recovery countdown later in the day, and the list of names on the "in memory" sheet will be read before the closing with the Serenity Prayer.

Keep in mind that you'll want to be back at 11am if you're planning to attend the 11am AA Gratitude Circle Meeting which follows thereafter and also under Shelter 5.

We hope to celebrate your miracle with you and join in on the walk!
